Razack Omontoyossi : Ces évènements qui ont visiblement "précipité" l’ex-international béninois vers la tombe
He was a rare bird. As proof, Benin is still searching for a striker of his caliber. Razak Omontoyossi, the man journalists nicknamed the "Bull of Pobè" because of his ability to break through defenses with the ball at his feet, passed away yesterday, Tuesday, in circumstances that remain unclear. It's a huge loss for Beninese football.
This powerful player, with devastating dribbles, combined technical ease and finishing in front of goal.
A shock wave in the country
Thanks to his talent, the Squirrels participated twice in the African Cup of Nations (2008, 2010). It was one of the most glorious eras of Beninese football, a time when the spectacle was guaranteed every time this team stepped onto the pitch of the Stade de l'Amitié Général Mathieu Kérékou in Cotonou.
The death of Razack Omontoyossi at the age of just 39 sent shockwaves through the country, as he was so popular.
Since the end of his international career, the man had withdrawn to Nigeria, his country of origin.
A series of dramas
He has been through some very trying times in recent months. In early July, a fire destroyed his house in Lagos. Three weeks later, his older sister died.
Added to these tragedies were marital difficulties, which were often reported by those around him. Apparently, it was too much for "Omogoal." Although the circumstances of his death are still unknown, there is no doubt that these tragedies had a severe impact on his morale.
May his soul rest in peace!

"Vers la tombe"??
Vous manquez de compassion. Il faut avoir un esprit de mesquin pour titrer ainsi la perte de ce joueur. C dommage.
