RDC : La peine de mort requise contre l’ex-président Joseph Kabila
In Kinshasa, the public prosecutor has requested the death penalty for former President Joseph Kabila, who is being prosecuted in absentia for war crimes, treason and organizing an insurrectionist movement.
Congolese justice accuses him of complicity with the Rwandan-backed M23 armed group. This trial targets the former head of state for his alleged role in the violence that continues to destabilize the eastern Democratic Republic of Congo.
