À Paris, le Sénégal renforce ses liens économiques avec la France lors de la REF 2025
This Wednesday, August 27, 2025, President Bassirou Diomaye Faye participated in the 7th edition of the Rencontre des Entrepreneurs de France (REF 2025) in Paris, alongside Patrick Martin, President of MEDEF, and Baidy Agne, President of the National Council of Employers (CNP) of Senegal. Several CNP figures were present, including Antoine Ngom (President of OPTIC), Abderrahmane Ndiaye (President of the Elton and Sagam International groups), Malick Gueye (President of Way 2 Call), and Abdou Kane (CEO of Diass Industries).
MEDEF and CNP aim to strengthen their cooperation through partnerships focused on more inclusive local production of goods and services and complementarity between foreign and domestic direct investment. The objectives include the convergence of interests, the promotion of Franco-Senegalese co-investments, the transfer of technologies and skills, as well as the training of young Senegalese students in France. Baidy Agne invited MEDEF companies to take ownership of the Senegal 2050 National Transformation Agenda and to participate in the Invest In Senegal Forum (FII Senegal), scheduled for October 7 and 8, 2025, in Dakar.
Surrounded by leading Senegalese economic players, President Faye welcomed this shared ambition to consolidate partnerships between French and Senegalese investors. This meeting marks a strategic turning point for Franco-Senegalese economic cooperation, focused on technology transfer, co-investments, youth training, and the promotion of the Senegal 2050 Agenda.
