LE SECRÉTAIRE À LA DÉFENSE AMÉRICAIN PARTAGE UNE VIDÉO QUI APPELLE À LA FIN DU DROIT DE VOTE DES FEMMES
US Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth has re-shared a video in which pastors call for an end to women's suffrage.
US Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth is under fire after re-sharing a video on Friday, August 8, in which several people call for the end of women's suffrage in the United States.
This video is a CNN report in which a journalist followed several pastors close to Doug Wilson, a theologian, himself a conservative and very radical pastor. In his exchanges with the journalist, Doug Wilson indicates that he would like to live in a country, and even a world, that is entirely Christian.
The pastor's movement promotes the superiority of men over women and their submission to their husbands. Doug Wilson, along with another pastor interviewed in the report, indicated that they want to end women's suffrage.
"I support the repeal of the 19th Amendment to the Constitution (which gives women the right to vote nationwide), because I believe the current system is not good for humans," explains Jared Longshore, one of the pastors.
Another preacher interviewed said he would prefer there to be one vote per household. "I will be the one voting, but after discussing it with my wife," he said.
Pete Hegseth reposted the video, writing, "All Christ, for all life." In the comments, some expressed his support. "God bless you, sir," wrote one user. "Amen, Christ is king," added another.
However, many are shocked or questioning the Secretary of Defense's true positions. "This should get you fired," notes one user. "There's nothing Christian about this church," points out another.
