The criminal chamber of the high court of Kolda has delivered its verdict in a case that has aroused strong emotion among the people of Fouladou. Ousmane Mballo, a 28-year-old worker, was sentenced to ten years of criminal imprisonment after being found guilty of rape and unnatural acts.
The facts date back several months when the accused assaulted a 12-year-old boy in the bush. During his hearing, Ousmane Mballo confessed to the facts before the court. However, he was acquitted of the charges of pedophilia and abduction of a minor, the court having considered that the evidence was not sufficient to retain these offences.
For the victim's family and children's rights groups, this verdict is a source of real relief. Many voices are being raised to demand better protection for minors and much harsher penalties for these acts, which are considered sexual crimes.
In the capital of Fouladou, the urgent task remains to raise awareness among the population to better combat sexual violence, especially among minors. In any case, the departmental committee for child protection is hard at work in this epic fight against the criminals.

C'est un complot.
On ne juge que l'acte sans pour autant se miser sur le pourquoi ? S'il est célibataire je trouve son cas triste. La société et les parents ont leur part de culpabilité.
