Nécrologie : un jeune lutteur tué par le moteur de sa pirogue
The Senegalese arena is in mourning with the death of Modou Diagne, alias Franc Jr, a wrestler from Yarakh.
The young athlete lost his life in an accident at sea after being trapped by the engine of his canoe during a fishing trip, reports the specialist newspaper Record.
Seriously injured, he succumbed despite being evacuated to hospital, the sports daily said.
Franc Jr, whose burial is scheduled for this Monday in Yarakh, leaves behind the memory of two great victories this season: against Adore (on May 7, 2025) and Petit Diallo of Pikine Mbollo (on July 9, 2025), the same source reports.
