Diass : Un chauffeur déféré pour le viol d'une passagère
A. Sow, a 27-year-old driver, was brought before the Mbour High Court on Wednesday. He is accused of raping a 23-year-old girl he was transporting to Diass on a remote track.
The incident took place on August 16th in the Diass area, involving a driver and his passenger. The story begins in the morning when A. Sow, a 27-year-old driver based in the Kandam district of Bentenier, was making a business trip to Diamniadio around 10 a.m. As he was returning to his base, he encountered S. Keïta, a 23-year-old sales agent working for a marketing company based in Bambilor. The single woman with no children requested his services to reach Diass. What was supposed to be a simple ride quickly turned into a trap for her.
A pretext to isolate the victim
From the start of the journey, the driver's behavior became suspicious. He made sexually explicit remarks toward his passenger, who, despite everything, continued to trust him, considering him "like a big brother," according to his statements.
Arriving in Bentenier, A. Sow uses a subterfuge to divert the passenger from her initial destination. He pretends to have to collect eggs from an orchard located on the road to Toglou before continuing to Diass. The young woman, unsuspecting, agrees to this slight detour.
It was on this lateritic track linking Bentenier to Toglou, in the middle of the bush, that the tragedy occurred.
Taking advantage of the isolation of the place, the driver carried out the act, despite the girl's resistance to escape from him.
His libido satisfied, the accused resumed his journey with his victim, probably hoping that the facts would remain secret.
Once in Diass, around 2 p.m., the victim immediately went to the local police station to report her sexual assault.
Her detailed testimony, accompanied by the vehicle registration number, which she had carefully noted, allowed investigators to quickly locate the suspect. A visit to the scene of the attack confirmed the complainant's version of events, according to Seneweb sources close to the prosecutor's office.
Arrested, A. Sow is placed in police custody. The investigation conducted by the Diass brigade allows the necessary elements to be gathered to build the case.
Following the investigations, the driver A. Sow was brought before the Mbour High Court on Wednesday to answer the charge of rape.

Il n'y a pas plus bête que de se donner comme mission de mêler Ousmane Sonko à tout ce arrive. Il est vrai que des gens comme toi ne méritent pas d'avoir un cerveau. Mieux encore, faire don de ta pauvre cervelle à un animal aurait été une grande œuvre de charité. Ainsi on te pourrait plus te reprocher d'agir par instinct en lieu et place de la réflexion qui est le propre de l'humain.
