Enseignant guadeloupéen dépouillé de 1 200 euros au Point E : Un des deux agresseurs arrêté par la police
C. Naejus, a Guadeloupean teacher, was the victim of a violent attack near Soumbédioune. One of his two attackers was arrested three weeks after the incident.
This case, which had moved the expatriate community in Dakar, has just been solved by the Point E police services.
The attack took place on the night of August 2, around 3:40 a.m., outside the Bonjour store located between Soumbédioune and Magic Land. C. Naejus, a Guadeloupean teacher living in Fann-Hock, was probably returning home when he was targeted by two individuals riding a motorcycle, according to Seneweb sources. The criminals managed to steal his Sony Experia cell phone as well as 1,200 euros and some CFA franc notes. C. Naejus was also injured in the leg.
A fast-paced investigation
The victim's complaint to the Point E police station, headed by Commissioner Sow, triggered an immediate investigation. The investigation unit went to the scene of the attack to gather all evidence that could identify the perpetrators. This led to a precise description of one of the attackers, who was well known to the police for similar incidents.
Analysis of the testimonies pointed to a man living in La Gueule-Tapée, known for "spreading terror on the Corniche." This profile of a repeat offender specializing in nighttime attacks on this sensitive tourist route explains the effectiveness of the identification.
The arrest of the suspect required cooperation between the Point E and Medina police stations, illustrating the effectiveness of the coordinated work of the police services.
Thus, on the night of August 21 to 22, almost three weeks after the attack, the suspect was arrested at his home in Gueule Tapée, in possession of a 3 cm knife hanging from his belt, revealing his potential dangerousness and his preparation for possible new crimes.
Once taken to the Point E police station, the suspect identified himself as Mr. Touré, a 22-year-old mechanic living in La Gueule-Tapée. When confronted with the charges against him, he "unambiguously" admitted his involvement in the attack. However, his accomplice remains unaccounted for.
As for the loot from the attack, he claims to have shared it with the latter, which complicates the victim's chances of recovery.
Mr. Touré was taken into custody pending further proceedings.

C'est arrivé en juillet aussi à un couple ougandais et leurs enfants. Venus de Suisse, ils séjournaient pour la deuxième fois en Afrique et la première fois au Sénégal, qu'ils avaient hâte de découvrir. Après ils n'osaient plus sortir. Thiey nos compatriotes

@Laxisme judiciaire je suis parfaitement d accord avec vous les peines sont trop légéres c'est pour cela qu ils récidivent á chaque fois. La police fait un excellent travail mais malheureusement il n y a pas un suivi efficace.

Il faut agir face aux multiples agressions. Il faut faire quelque chose bon sang!
Recidiviste et bien connu de la police...alors les juges trop cléments du Sénégal bont lui coller maximum 2 ans, il sort et aura 24 ans et encore plus dangereux. Nguir Yalla monsieurs les juges soyez plus sévère avec les peines afin d obtenir un effet dissuasif, une peine de 20 ans pour toutes personne qui agresse avec une arme blanches...une agression armée est une préméditation au meurtre.
Nationalité gadeloupéenne ? C'est la première fois que j'entends ça. La Guadeloupe est un département français .
