Gamou 2025 : Ce qui va changer sur les circuits de Dakar Dem Dikk
The Dakar Dem Dikk company has announced temporary adjustments to its intercity network, in anticipation of the celebration of Mawloud Al Naby or Gamou 2025.
According to the company, these measures are essential to maintain its service and serve the regions despite the exceptional crowds expected during this large religious gathering. Passengers are encouraged to plan their trips accordingly.
Buses connecting Dakar to Ziguinchor, Bignona, Kolda, and Sédhiou will be diverted from their usual route. They will now travel via the Fatick, Foundiougne, and Pont Noir de Kaolack axes.
The transport company said the route change is intended to avoid predictable traffic jams and ensure regular departures and arrivals. Similarly, services to Kédougou, Vélingara, Diaobé, and Kidira will be reorganized.
Vehicles will take the Ila Touba highway to Mbacké, then continue via Kaffrine and the RNI. This alternative route will ensure continued service to the east of the country.
