Transport international : Africa Industry Group réclame 1 milliard F CFA à DHL pour un compresseur non livré
Africa Industry Group Oil & Gas has sued DHL Global Forwarding Senegal in the commercial court, claiming 1 billion CFA francs in damages for the non-delivery of an air compressor intended for the Pasteur Institute in Dakar.
Libération, which provided the information, reported that DHL had agreed to urgently transport the machine from London to Dakar by air. However, on January 14, the company notified its inability to perform the service, citing security requirements related to air freight. Africa Industry Group considers this failure to be serious, believing that DHL, as an international transport professional, should have anticipated these constraints before entering into a contractual commitment, the same source said.
Furthermore, Libération continues, despite several attempts at an amicable settlement, DHL is refusing to return the compressor, first demanding reimbursement of an advance payment, even though the service has not been performed.
