Yeumbeul Nord : un homme retrouvé mort dans un bassin, grosses spéculations sur une découverte macabre
The lifeless body of a man was discovered this Tuesday around 6 p.m. in Local, a neighborhood in Yeumbeul North. The deceased was spotted by a passerby floating in the middle of the rainwater and wastewater retention basin. The perpetrator of the gruesome discovery alerted local residents, who in turn informed the police.
The victim was wearing a red T-shirt and black pants. His body showed no visible injuries, except for a few signs of what appeared to be insect or reptile bites. He was rescued by firefighters and taken to a medical facility for an autopsy.
An investigation is underway. Pending the conclusions on the circumstances of the death, speculation is rife, according to Les Échos, which reported the news. "Some suspect murder amid a settling of scores between companions," the newspaper reports. "Others suggest a fatal physical assault by strangulation, followed by robbery. Others are playing it safe and raising the possibility of an accidental fall leading to death by drowning."
