The struggle for a federation continues. Following the publication of the list of 252 stables and other affiliated associations, the process of adopting the statutes and regulations of the body will begin, followed by the formation of the electoral body and the definition of the eligibility requirements for federal officials.

The election of the federation's president will be the final stage of the process. Before that, from October 7 to 15, candidates will be able to submit their candidacies. "To be eligible," reports L'Observateur, which provides the information, "Article 27 of the draft Internal Regulations of the new federation stipulates that one must first be of Senegalese nationality, at least 18 years old, a member of a federation association for more than a year, and have a current membership card or license."

The application file must include, according to article 30 of the same text, "a request for candidacy endorsed by the president of the league of the association [from which the candidate comes], failing that by one of his deputies, a copy of the national identity card, an extract from the criminal record dating back at least three months, a CV, a copy of the valid license and two identity photos."

The future wrestling federation will be composed of 33 members, if Article 31 of the draft Internal Regulations is adopted. The 29 will come from the General Assembly and the four will be appointed by the Ministry of Sports, on the proposal of the stakeholders, the same source emphasizes.
