Qualifs’ Coupe du monde 2026 : Les étonnantes révélations du sélectionneur de Eswatini après la défaite contre le Cameroun

Cameroon's Indomitable Lions easily defeated Eswatini yesterday, Thursday, September 4, during the 7th day of the 2026 World Cup qualifiers. Final score of the match: 3-0 in favor of the home team.

"We only have one professional player"

At the post-match press conference, the visiting team's coach, Zdravko Logarusic, made some surprising revelations about his players.

"I want to thank coach Marc Brys because he slowed down the pace a bit in the second half. I know how to see these things. We only have one professional player. The rest are police officers, teachers, soldiers," said the coach. His comments suggest that the national team of this southern African country is mostly made up of amateur players.

"I made certain choices with the next match in mind."

Zdravko certainly believes the score could have been higher if Cameroon hadn't slowed down in the second half. But it wasn't out of the kindness of their hearts that the Indomitable Lions put their teeth away.

According to Marc Brys, he simply "made certain choices with the next match in mind, because it is crucial." "Cape Verde also won 2-0, so it will be a 6-point match," the Cameroon coach emphasized.
