Attaques terroristes au Mali : Le gouvernement du Sénégal réagit et lance un appel
Following the President of the Republic, who firmly condemned the terrorist attacks this Saturday in Mali, the Government of Senegal officially communicated on the situation.
In a statement published by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Government said it was following with great concern the evolving security situation in Mali, marked by coordinated attacks carried out on April 25, 2026 against several military positions and urban areas.
"Senegal condemns in the strongest possible terms these acts of violence, attributed to armed terrorist groups, which seriously endanger civilian populations and undermine the stability of Mali and the entire region," it said.
The Senegalese Government wished to express its full solidarity with the Government of Mali and the Malian people, while also expressing its support for the Malian defense and security forces engaged in the fight against terrorism.
In its statement, the Government of Senegal also reaffirmed its commitment to the unity, sovereignty and territorial integrity of Mali while calling "for a strengthening of cooperation between the States of the region, particularly within the framework of existing mechanisms, in order to face this common threat".
He reiterates his willingness to work towards the lasting restoration of security, peace and stability in the region.
