Mali : Reprise des vols à l’aéroport Modibo Keita de Sénou après les violents attaques terroristes dans le pays
In Mali, terrorists carried out coordinated attacks yesterday, Saturday, April 25, in several cities across the country, including the capital, Bamako. Flights were suspended at Modibo Keita Airport in Sénou as a security measure.
On Sunday, April 26, the Malian Ministry of Transport and Infrastructure published a statement announcing the effective resumption of operations at the airport infrastructure.
"Airport operations resumed this Sunday, April 26, 2026, at 6:00 AM sharp."
“After a 24-hour temporary suspension of operations to improve passenger and staff safety, airport operations resumed this Sunday, April 26, 2026, at 6:00 a.m. sharp, under the strict control of the authorities through the Minister of Transport and Infrastructure,” the document states. The first flights to and from Malian regions were therefore successfully handled this Sunday morning.
"The passengers, calm and confident, passed through all the security checks before boarding," the Ministry reports. The airport is "fully secure."
