Crise des loyers à Dakar : La SNHLM fait une annonce
Faced with the economic crisis that is weakening Senegalese households, the National Society of Moderate Rent Housing (SN HLM) has announced the construction of 400 social housing units in Dakar, in partnership with the Islamic Bank.
Modern, accessible, and affordable, these homes will be offered as rent-to-own or with 15-year installment payments, with interest-free financing. This formula aims to provide relief to low-income families, who have been particularly hard hit by soaring rents in the capital.
This project aims to provide a lasting solution to the rental insecurity affecting thousands of households in Dakar. According to Momar Ndao, president of the National Rent Regulation Commission, more than 10,000 complaints from landlords for unpaid rent are currently pending before the courts.
By offering a viable alternative, SN HLM responds to the pressing needs of a population suffocated by the cost of housing.
