“This Wednesday, I lost much more than a wife. I lost my partner, my pillar, my love. The one I called my lioness for her strength, her resilience, her courage… to the very end,” he wrote.
He continued:
“Today, I am broken… but proud to have been her husband. Proud to have loved her. Thank you for your prayers, your messages, and your discretion. Continue to keep her in your thoughts, in the light. She was a fighter. She will always be a queen, MY QUEEN.”
The couple, who were very close and often shared intimate moments, regularly posted glimpses of their lives on social media. Their touching story makes this loss even more difficult for their many followers, who are rallying to support the artist.
A woman who transformed her ordeal into a message of hope
First diagnosed in February 2024, Nadiya Sabeh chose to live her battle openly. Alongside her husband, she recounted each step, each victory, each relapse. After a remission, the cancer returned more aggressive, but she never stopped fighting.
Her words, her smiles, and her courage inspired many people going through similar hardships. Despite treatment and the constant support of her loved ones, she ultimately passed away.
