72heures du livre de Conakry : Pape Barry et Mamadou Ba ont fait sensation
Since April 23rd, the Guinean capital has been living to the rhythm of the 18th edition of the 72 Hours of the Conakry Book, launched at the Franco-Guinean Cultural Center (CCFG), in an atmosphere punctuated by songs, traditional dances and shows.
Guinea is renowned for its rich culture and its many literary figures, such as William Sassine, Camara Laye, Djibril Tamsir Niane, and other iconic personalities. Several presentations on books and the cultural and creative industries were given by leading experts from various African and European countries.
Two cultural administrators from Senegal: Pape Ibrahima Barry, Secretary General of the Grand Theatre, and Mamadou Bâ, Director of the Resource Centre, completely captivated the public with their presentation on the cultural and creative industries, led by Mr. Barry, who offered a masterclass to the general public through deep reflection and technical explanations.
Following in his counterpart's footsteps, Mamadou Ba delivered a fine inaugural lecture on literature and the book in question. Both presentations were of exceptional quality, captivating the Guinean public and culture enthusiasts alike, and generated considerable media attention in Guinea after the exams. This impressive performance confirms Senegalese expertise and the high-quality training provided by the National School of Arts and Cultural Professions of Senegal.
In addition, both Senegalese have training from the prestigious Alexandria school in Egypt, considered the best training institution in cultural fields.
