L’ambassadeur d’Iran au Niger après la mort de Khamenei : « Les pays musulmans doivent être soudés… »
The assassination of Iranian Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei has deeply affected Niger. Prime Minister Ali Mahaman Lamine Zeine visited the Iranian embassy in Niamey last Saturday to sign the book of condolences opened at the diplomatic mission.
In the short message of condolence, he expressed the "great sadness" felt by the government of Niger after learning of "the killing of the Grand Imam Ali Khamenei, leader of the great country of Iran."
"Resist as the Almighty recommends in such circumstances."
The official then offered "his deepest condolences to the brotherly Muslim people of Iran" on behalf of President Abdourahmane Tiani and the people of Niger. He concluded by expressing his country's "profound respect" for "the strength of conviction of the Muslim people (of Iran) who continue to resist as the Almighty commands in such circumstances."
Present at his side, the Iranian ambassador to Niger, Dr. Ali Tiztak, thanked the Nigerien authorities for this show of compassion.
He called on Islamic nations to unite at a time when "foreign forces" are creating division within them.
“Muslim countries must unite and awaken. Everything that creates division among Muslims comes from foreign forces. They are the ones fueling the division. The world must address this in order to counter this violation of international law…Israel launched this war to seize more territory. But unfortunately, Islamic countries are still asleep. We call on them, but they don’t hear us,” said the head of the Iranian diplomatic mission in Niger.
