ONU : trois heures pour convaincre, Macky Sall à l'épreuve du grand oral
Former Senegalese President Macky Sall, a candidate for the position of United Nations Secretary-General, is today undergoing his hearing before the General Assembly.
A three-hour oral exam
"He will deliver his vision for three hours on the major issues of the time, namely peace, security, human rights and development," Les Échos points out.
The last candidate to participate in this exercise, Macky Sall, thus concludes the series of hearings after the appearances of the former president of Chile, Michelle Bachelet, the Director General of the International Atomic Energy Agency, Rafael Mariano Grossi, and the former vice-president of Costa Rica, Rebeca Grynspan.
Despite this high-level field, optimism remains the order of the day among the former head of state's entourage. "Supporters of the former Senegalese president are, in any case, very confident," reports the same source, convinced that his experience will make the difference in this race to the top of world diplomacy.
