Paysage médiatique : Leral TV et Leral FM passent sous le giron du Groupe Solo Média
The Senegalese audiovisual landscape is undergoing a major transformation. In an official statement, Leral TV and Leral FM announced a radical change in governance. Effective this Tuesday, the operation and management of these media outlets have been officially transferred to the Solo Media Group.
This handover marks a clear break with the past. Both media outlets are now moving away from their previous editorial lines and management structures to come under the exclusive control of Solo Media. According to the terms of the agreement, the new management team assumes full responsibility for defining editorial direction, with a view to modernization and strategic repositioning in response to the technological changes in the sector.
To achieve this goal, the Solo Media Group has surrounded itself with familiar faces and leading figures in the Senegalese media and cultural landscape. While their formal statuses remain unchanged for the time being, several personalities have been brought on board for this new era to drive a renewed dynamic of content. These include: Ahmeth Aïdara and Mamadou Mansour Diop; Fatou Abdou Ndiaye and Ngoné Saliou Diop; Birahim Touré and DJ Melo.
The stated objective is to build a diverse and balanced offering, capable of meeting the new demands of an increasingly connected public.
This transition will involve a gradual overhaul of programming. Viewers can expect revamped debate formats, a greater digital presence, and enhanced interactivity between radio, television, and social media. While the new broadcast schedule will be unveiled soon, management assures that no service interruptions are planned.
The frequencies of Leral FM (96.1 in Dakar, 100.4 in Kaolack, 93.1 in Ziguinchor and 87.8 in Touba) as well as the channels of Leral TV (Channel 353 on Canal+, Eutelsat and Channel 8 on Orange TV) remain unchanged.
With this partnership, the Leral Group and the Solo Media Group intend to place this collaboration under the banner of innovation and media responsibility.
