Affaire Ameth Ndoye : l'appel du parquet rejeté
On Thursday, the Court of Appeal issued its ruling, upholding the presiding judge's decision and rejecting the prosecution's appeal in the Ameth Ndoye case. The Sen TV commentator will therefore remain under house arrest with an electronic monitoring bracelet.
The prosecution challenged the order of the senior investigating judge, who had decided to keep Ameth Ndoye under this regime, contradicting his initial request. The prosecution had sought his detention for public indecency, spreading false news, and insulting a person exercising all or part of the prerogatives of the head of state. They were unsuccessful, reports Libération.
