DSC : un TikTokeur tombe suite à une plainte des saltigués sérères
Kh. Diouf, a 26-year-old entrepreneur better known by his pseudonym "Teknotik@ the revolutionary," was arrested by the Special Cybersecurity Division (DSC) before being brought before the prosecutor on Thursday. He is being prosecuted for public insults and disseminating offensive remarks via a computer system, reports Libération.
According to the same source, the case stems from a series of complaints filed by traditional healer A. Ndiaye of Fatick, his colleague B. Senghor, and marabout G. Faye, based in Mbour. These individuals, quoted by the daily newspaper, accuse the young man, residing in Khar Yallah, of having made outrageous remarks during several live broadcasts on social media, specifically targeting traditional healers and Serer saltigués (spiritual guides).
Before investigators, the defendant attempted to justify his actions by explaining that his criticisms were not directed personally at the plaintiffs, but rather at the "imposters" who prey on citizens' gullibility to extort money from them. Diouf specified that he acted with the intention of protecting the image of the "real Saltigués," a step he claims to have taken after watching a video by the TikTok influencer "Tons."
