Ses 50 bus saccagés : l'AFTU annonce une plainte contre...
Between Monday and Tuesday, 50 buses were vandalized by unidentified individuals on motorcycles, primarily at nightfall in the bus terminals. In response, the Urban Transport Financing Association (AFTU), through its spokesperson Mr. Ndoye, announced that it had filed a complaint against persons unknown on Wednesday and had instructed a bailiff to assess the material damage, the total cost of which remains to be determined.
These "acts of vandalism" are occurring within a context of high social tension. AFTU and union leader Gora Khouma refused to join the strike call issued by the Federation of Road Transport Unions, a movement widely followed in the intercity sector.
According to AFTU officials, quoted by L'AS, these attacks are not accidental and appear to be reprisals against their decision to maintain the urban service.
