Armée : Les autres nominations du Président Diomaye Faye
President Bassirou Diomaye Faye has made changes to the top brass of the armed forces. As previously announced, Vice Admiral Oumar Wade, formerly Chief of Staff to the President, has been appointed Chief of the General Staff of the Armed Forces. He replaces General Mbaye Cissé, who has been transferred to the reserve of the General Staff.
Furthermore, Brigadier General Cheikhou Mouhamadou Lamine Boucounta Camara has been promoted to Major General. Previously the Prime Minister's Defense Advisor, he has been appointed Chief of Staff to the President of the Republic. He replaces Vice Admiral Oumar Wade, who has been appointed Chief of the General Staff of the Armed Forces (Cemga).
Colonel Amadou Moussa Ndir has been appointed to the 1st (active) section of the General Staff, with the rank of Brigadier General. Previously Deputy Head of Defense Coordination and General Studies at the President of the Republic's Private Staff, he has been appointed Defense Advisor to the Prime Minister. He will replace Brigadier General Cheikhou Mouhamadou Lamine Boucounta Camara.
