«Je voulais juste avoir du buzz» : Serigne Bada Keman, Racky Aïdara, Adamo, Mame Ndiaye Savon, les vidéos porno et…
If the court follows the prosecutor's recommendations, Serigne Bada Keman will be sentenced on December 24, the day of the verdict in his trial, to six months in prison and a fine of 500,000 CFA francs. The TikToker was tried before the Dakar court of summary jurisdiction last Wednesday for the illegal collection and dissemination of personal data and public insults.
He is the subject of complaints filed by presenter Racky Aïdara and Khadidiatou Kébé and Awa Bâ. Les Échos, which reported on the hearing in its Monday edition, notes that Adamo, Y. Fall and L. Sylla, also named in the case, "did not appear".
The newspaper reports that in court, Serigne Bada Keman contradicted the accusation by denying having published videos of the plaintiffs during the TikTok Live that led to the complaints against him. He did, however, admit to having uttered insults, while pleading self-defense: "It was an argument during which each party hurled insults."
“It all started when Ababacar Sadikh Cissé, Mame Ndiaye [Savon]’s younger brother, contacted me to tell me that a girl had his genitals,” recounted the defendant, who appeared in court as a free man. He continued: “The girl in question called me a few minutes later to confirm Ababacar’s statements, even suggesting that I use the pornographic images to expose Mame Ndiaye Savon, if I wanted. When I told Mame Ndiaye about it, she asked me to do a live stream to defend her and her brother. So I did the live stream, but I never published the videos in question.”
During the live broadcast, Serigne Bada Keman strayed from the topic at hand to criticize Racky Aïdara. He admitted: "I spoke about his marriage, his problem with his co-wife, Clara, insulting her. I regret it, I ask for her forgiveness."
When questioned about his motives for posting on TikTok, in which he gives praise to some and criticism to others, the accused confessed that he "just wanted to get some buzz and 'views'." He did, however, insist that he had never sent sex tapes to Adamo.
Before delivering his closing argument, the prosecutor accused Serigne Bada Keman of "corrupting the youth with [his] stories" before telling him: "I cannot understand how a man can end up insulting himself with girls."
The judge made the same reproach to the accused before setting the deliberation for the case for December 24.
