« Je suis impuissant » : Accusé de viol, un vieux commerçant démasqué par un urologue
A trader from Ndoffane, married to two wives, was brought before the prosecutor's office this Wednesday by the Kaolack research section, after being confounded by a medical examination which contradicted his alleged sexual impotence.
After her divorce, 19-year-old A. Dia returned to her parents' home in Ndoffane in July 2025. To support herself, she took a job as a housekeeper for N. Cissé, the wife of 63-year-old businessman A. Ndiaye, who was married to two women. According to the complainant, her living situation with the head of the household quickly deteriorated. A. Ndiaye fell in love with the young woman and made repeated advances. When she repeatedly rejected his attempts at seduction, he resorted to threats.
A. Dia states that he threatened her with a knife and forced her to make compromising statements under recording. Out of fear, she eventually gave in, according to her account. The shopkeeper systematically took advantage of his wife's absence, between 11 a.m. and noon, to sexually assault her three times without protection. In February 2026, A. Dia learned she was pregnant. She informed the suspect, A. Ndiaye.
The attempt to cover up the affair
Fearing for his reputation and that of his family, A. Ndiaye sought to cover his tracks. He allegedly gave 30,000 CFA francs to his wife, N. Cissé, asking her to accompany the victim, A. Dia, for an abortion. N. Cissé, in turn, instructed her niece, M. Cissé, to take the young woman to the hospital. Upon her return, M. Cissé informed her aunt that the pregnancy was indeed real and that A. Dia was blaming the businessman. N. Cissé then allegedly gave the 30,000 francs directly to A. Dia to have the abortion, before threatening her with silence. A. Ndiaye, for his part, allegedly also ordered her not to tell anyone.
The victim, A. Dia, chose a different path. She gave the money to her father, told everything to her aunt, and filed a complaint with the Saloum prosecutor's office against A. Ndiaye for repeated rapes with threats, resulting in pregnancy. On April 22, 2026, Prosecutor Abass Yaya Wane forwarded the case to the Kaolack research unit for investigation and arrest if the allegations are substantiated, according to exclusive information obtained by Seneweb.
The investigation and the hearings
Summoned by investigators, A. Dia appeared accompanied by her aunt. Visibly distressed, she struggled to contain her emotions but clearly confirmed the terms of her complaint and formally accused A. Ndiaye. When questioned, M. Cissé confirmed that he had accompanied A. Dia to the hospital on two occasions. She specified, however, that the victim, A. Dia, sometimes accused A. Ndiaye of causing her pregnancy, and at other times referred to her ex-husband. She described the relationship between A. Dia and A. Ndiaye as warm, similar to that of a grandfather and his granddaughter. She reported that upon learning of the pregnancy, A. Ndiaye was devastated, saying that "his life is ruined," before threatening suicide if the accusations persisted.
Ms. N. Cissé, for her part, confirms having employed A. Dia as a housekeeper for five months. She claims to have had no suspicion of a possible pregnancy and says she simply gave A. Dia 30,000 francs, corresponding to her monthly salary, before firing her. She denies having threatened her. When questioned by investigators, A. Ndiaye categorically denies the allegations.
He maintains he never had any relationship with A. Dia and calls the accusations "baseless." He claims it was Mr. Cissé who advised the young woman to accuse him. He then offers a medical argument: suffering from an illness for a year, he states that the illness has caused him to lose all virility and that he is no longer able to satisfy his wives.
The medical expertise contradicts him
Investigators ordered a medical examination by a urologist at the El Hadji Ibrahima Niass Hospital Center. During his interview with the doctor, A. Ndiaye admitted to having been ill for a year and to not taking any medication, a choice he made. However, he spontaneously admitted to experiencing erections that allowed him to have sexual relations with his wives.
Faced with this confession, made without pressure, the doctor did not deem it necessary to continue the examinations. His report, dated April 28, 2026, concluded unequivocally: A. Ndiaye is virile, despite his untreated condition. Following the investigation conducted by the Kaolack research unit, serious and consistent evidence was gathered against A. Ndiaye. The businessman was brought before the prosecutor this Wednesday on charges of repeated rapes under threat, resulting in pregnancy.
The case has been forwarded to the public prosecutor at the High Court of Kaolack for further action.
