Afrique du Sud : Canal+ entre en bourse en juin prochain
In South Africa, the Canal+ Group announced yesterday, Tuesday, May 12, that it will make its debut on the Johannesburg Stock Exchange on June 3. The South African Reserve Bank's Financial Supervisory Department has approved the process.
This initial public offering with secondary listing of the French group will offer investors on the Johannesburg Stock Exchange (JSE) the opportunity to invest directly in a global media and entertainment company.
Canal + retains its main listing on the London Stock Exchange.
"Shares traded on the JSE will be fully fungible with those on the LSE"
He states in a press release that "shares traded on the JSE will be fully fungible with those of the LSE".
On Tuesday in London, Canal+ shares fell 0.9% to 231.40 pence, giving it a market capitalization of approximately 2.27 billion pounds sterling or 51 billion rand.
