According to the political movement, these attacks represent "yet another demonstration of the military regime's security failures."

Given that the recent terrorist attacks were claimed by JNIM and rebel groups, one might well wonder if we are witnessing a vast conspiracy aimed at legitimizing a political struggle—that of Imam Dicko's CFR. After all, if the jihadist attacks intensify, they can always loudly proclaim that nothing is right, that "the country is not secure, that the state is overwhelmed."
