Burkina Faso : le Président en exercice de l’UA en visite à Ouagadougou pour renforcer la coopération avec l’AES

Burundian President Évariste Ndayishimiye, also the current Chairman of the African Union, arrived in Ouagadougou on April 20, 2026.

He was welcomed at the airport by the President of Burkina Faso, Ibrahim Traoré, who is also the President of the Alliance of Sahel States.

This visit is part of strengthening cooperation between the African Union and the AES Confederation, with bilateral exchanges and visits to socio-economic infrastructure in the Burkinabe capital on the agenda.
