"His eyes were bloodshot and glassy, and his breath reeked of alcohol," the officer in charge of the stop at the time stated, according to Page Six. Nearly two years later, the footage of this arrest has finally surfaced. However, in early March, Justin Timberlake sued the city of Sag Harbor on Long Island, attempting to prevent the public release of the body camera footage from the police officers' arrest. But this attempt ultimately failed.

In the video, the "Cry Me A River" singer is initially seen behind the wheel of the vehicle, talking to the police officer who explains that he was pulled over for "veering to the left" and failing to "stop at the stop sign." The officer then asks for the rental car registration before questioning him about his presence in the Hamptons village. "I'm here for a few days," replies Justin Timberlake. "I'm on a world tour." Faced with this response, the officer doesn't seem to understand what his interlocutor is saying and asks him to repeat himself. "It's hard to explain. A world tour, I'm Justin Timberlake," adds the singer, hoping that his status as a pop superstar will help the officer understand him better.

In another part of the video, Justin Timberlake is standing in the back of the vehicle, performing the exercises the officer requests. "You're going to put your right foot in front of your left foot, and stay like that, okay? You're going to walk from heel to toe like this," the officer says as the singer tries to maintain this position but ends up losing his balance. In the following footage, Justin Timberlake counts by thousands before stating, "By the way, these tests are really, really difficult." "At this point, based on the findings, you are under arrest for driving under the influence," the officer states shortly after the singer refuses to take a breathalyzer test. The officer then handcuffs him in front of the camera. Following this arrest, Justin Timberlake was sentenced to 25 hours of community service and fined $500 plus a $260 surcharge. His driver's license was also suspended in New York for 90 days.
