Côte d'Ivoire: début du vote pour l'élection présidentielle

Ivorians began voting on Saturday to elect their president, an election in which the outgoing head of state, Alassane Ouattara, in power since 2011, is the clear favorite, AFP journalists noted.

"I came to vote quickly and then go to my village," said Olivier Blo, one of the first voters in the working-class commune of Yopougon in Abidjan. Nearly 9 million voters are expected to cast their ballots until 6 p.m. (GMT and local time).
