Côte d’Ivoire : Le Port autonome d’Abidjan a un nouveau patron
Appointed Minister of Infrastructure and Road Maintenance in January 2026, Hien Sié Yacouba, the Director General of the Autonomous Port of Abidjan, left his post three months ago. Yesterday, Monday, May 4th, the Board of Directors of the public body, meeting in an extraordinary session, appointed an interim director to the position.
Mr. Traoré's appointment "reflects a desire for managerial continuity"
The appointee is Traoré Kassoum, formerly the Port's logistics director. According to a press release published by the institution, Mr. Traoré's appointment "reflects a desire for managerial continuity and the consolidation of achievements in an environment marked by increased demands for performance, competitiveness, and modernization."
The new interim Director General will be tasked with ensuring the efficient conduct of port activities, maintaining the momentum of transformation underway, and strengthening the position of the Autonomous Port of Abidjan as a leading logistics hub in the West African sub-region.
