Détention de chanvre indien : Un gérant de moulin condamné à 3 mois de prison ferme à Fatick
Mr. Diallo, a mill manager, appeared this Wednesday before the Fatick High Court. He was arrested in possession of six packets of Indian hemp.
Initially charged with offering or supplying cannabis for personal use, the defendant denied any sales activity in court. "I don't sell drugs. I buy it for my personal use and I share it for free with my friends," he stated.
The prosecutor requested the strict application of the law.
For his part, Mr. Diallo's lawyer argued for the charges to be reduced to possession for personal use, emphasizing that his client is a first-time offender. He requested leniency from the court.
After deliberation, Mr. Diallo was sentenced to three months in prison for possession of Indian hemp for personal consumption.
