Guinée : Élie Kamano accuse le Président Doumbouya d'avoir « kidnappé » ses trois enfants
Guinean singer Elie Kamano revealed alarming news on his platforms, directly accusing President Mamady Doumbouya and his men of having kidnapped three of his children as well as one of his brothers.
According to the singer's account, the incident occurred in the early hours of Sunday morning, around 4 a.m. Four hooded men broke into his house, located in the Matato neighborhood, and abducted four people, including three of his children and one of his brothers, taking them to an unknown location.
Elie Kamano, who had already reported an attempted lynching in Dakar three months ago, claims that this act is a new attempt by President Doumbouya to "liquidate" him.
Reached by Seneweb, the singer made a passionate appeal to the international community. He insisted on his family's innocence: "My children are innocent; politics is not their business. I ask Doumbaya and his men to release my family and all the other people who have been abducted for a very long time."
Elie Kamano insisted: "We call on international opinion to react to the dictatorship that reigns in Guinea, otherwise the country will be plunged into a bloodbath in the coming days."
According to Seneweb's sources, the targeted kidnapping of relatives is a common practice against political opponents in Guinea. Kidnapping attempts have reportedly become "very frequent" since President Mamady Doumbouya came to power.
Several members of civil society, activists and journalists have reportedly been victims of similar actions by the military.
