Hausse des tarifs du transport interurbain au Mali : La réaction du gouvernement
In Mali, since the increase in fuel prices, taxi and intercity bus owners have raised their fares. This has displeased the government.
In a statement published yesterday, Wednesday, April 1st, the acting Secretary General of the Ministry of Transport, Cheick Ahmed Tidiani Tall, reminded stakeholders in the sector that "any revision of transport prices must be part of a well-defined consultation framework that includes the public administration and socio-professional organizations in the road transport sector."
To "avoid any speculation on prices" »
He invites the carriers concerned to strictly comply with the conclusions reached at the expanded meeting of the National Council for Public Passenger Transport held on the same day yesterday, Wednesday, April 1, 2026.
In conclusion, Mr. Tall calls for "a spirit of understanding and civic responsibility from transport companies in order to preserve the purchasing power of the population and to avoid any speculation on fares."
