Krépin Diatta après la qualification des Lions: “Nous n’avons jamais douté, même dans les moments difficiles”
Lions defender Krépin Diatta praised the determination of the entire squad, which managed to overcome difficult periods to secure qualification for the 2026 World Cup by beating Mauritania 4-0 on Tuesday.
“We gave everything we had to qualify. We managed to get the three points and secure our ticket to the World Cup for the third time in a row, it’s a huge source of pride,” the Monaco player said at a press conference.
Looking back on the sometimes bumpy road, Krépin Diatta was keen to highlight the group's impeccable spirit, even when the results were less convincing.
“We never doubted ourselves despite a difficult period when we were third in the standings. But we were able to bounce back by winning five in a row. It was this collective strength that carried us through,” he confided.
