Le Burkina Faso a annoncé vouloir « porter la voix de la rupture » à l’ONU
At the opening of the 80th United Nations General Assembly in New York, Burkina Faso announced its intention to "carry the voice of rupture" to deconstruct stereotypes about Africa. Led by Prime Minister Rimtalba Jean Emmanuel Ouédraogo, the Burkinabe delegation is defending, according to Foreign Minister Karamoko Jean Marie Traoré, the will of a country "that takes responsibility for itself and wants to build new relationships."
The session, themed "Better Together: Over 80 Years of Peace, Development, and Human Rights," takes place amid criticism from U.S. President Donald Trump of the UN's ineffectiveness and Secretary-General António Guterres' call to strengthen multilateralism in the face of global crises.
