The head of the IFC, Makhtar Diop, praises the economic performance of Ivory Coast

Le patron de la SFI, Makhtar Diop, salue les performances économiques de la Côte d’Ivoire

Makhtar Diop, the head of the International Finance Corporation (IFC), is visiting Côte d'Ivoire. The former Minister of Economy under former Senegalese President Abdoulaye Wade was received in audience by the Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Defense, Téné Birahima Ouattara. They discussed the key drivers of the country's economic growth.

After the meeting with the brother of the Ivorian president, the head of the IFC praised the outstanding economic performance of the Ivory Coast nation.

Provide more support to private actors

"Ivory Coast is experiencing high growth compared to other African countries, and this is due not only to foreign direct investment and public investment, but also to the dynamism of the Ivorian private sector," said Makhtar Diop.

He expressed his hope that the Ivorian government would strengthen this momentum by providing more support to private actors, in order to take investments to a higher level.
