Législatives-2026 au Bénin : 6 partis déposent leurs dossiers de candidatures à la Commission électorale

In Benin, legislative elections are scheduled for January 11, 2026. Parties wishing to participate in this election had until yesterday, Wednesday, November 19, to submit their applications to the National Autonomous Electoral Commission (CENA).

According to the institution's report, 6 political parties have completed this formality. These are the Republican Bloc (BR), the Progressive Union for Renewal (UP-R), the Democrats, the Cauris Forces for an Emerging Benin (FCBE), the Great Republican Solidarity (GSR) and Moele-Benin.

In the coming days, the Electoral Commission will conduct a thorough review of the documents submitted. It will then issue final receipts to the political parties that meet the conditions to participate in these Legislative elections of January 11, 2026.

It is worth recalling that the main opposition party, the Democrats, has already been excluded from the race for the Presidential and Municipal elections of 2026.
