Ligue Conférence : Ismaïla Sarr, Nobel Mendy et Pathé Ciss aux portes de la finale

Senegalese football could once again be represented on the European stage this season. Following Ibrahim Mbaye's qualification for the Champions League final with Paris Saint-Germain, three other Senegalese internationals are 90 minutes away from a continental final in the Conference League.

These are Ismaïla Sarr with Crystal Palace, and Nobel Mendy and Pathé Ciss with Rayo Vallecano. Ismaïla Sarr is undoubtedly the frontrunner.

Having won the first leg against Shakhtar Donetsk (3-1), Crystal Palace will go into the return leg with a comfortable lead in front of their home crowd. The Eagles appear to have done the hard part and now dream of their first European final.

The situation is more delicate for Nobel Mendy and Pathé Ciss. Despite their narrow victory in the first leg against RC Strasbourg (1-0), the Rayo Vallecano players will have to put up a fierce fight this Thursday at the Stade de la Meinau. Boosted by their fans, Strasbourg hopes to reach the first European final in their history.

The two matches are therefore expected to be decisive for these Senegalese internationals, who could allow Senegal to have several representatives in the European finals this season.
