L'Union africaine salue la contribution des femmes au sein de l’institution
On the occasion of International Women's Day, the Chairperson of the African Union Commission, Mahmoud Ali Youssouf, commended the essential contribution of women within the institution. He highlighted their leadership and commitment to the organization's progress, while reaffirming the AU's commitment to gender equality and women's empowerment across the continent.
The official also highlighted the link between gender equality and the AU's 2026 theme dedicated to water and sanitation, noting that women and girls are often the most exposed to difficulties related to accessing these services.
