Mort d’Adamou Condé en Belgique : Conakry exige des explications et suit de près l’enquête

While emotions remain high within the Guinean diaspora following the tragic death of Adamou Condé, Conakry has reacted and is demanding official explanations. This young Guinean man, who had been living in Belgium for several years, was shot three times by Belgian police officers during an operation on the night of Sunday, December 14, to Monday, December 15, 2025.

According to information obtained by SeneWeb Guinea, the Guinean Ministry of Foreign Affairs, African Integration, and Guineans Living Abroad is following this case "with the utmost attention." A diplomatic source close to the matter confirmed that Guinea's representation in Brussels visited the scene of the tragedy.

“We sent our embassy to the field to produce a full report on this matter. The report is already available. The department will officially react to this tragedy, because it is something that cannot be ignored,” a ministry official said, speaking on condition of anonymity.

🔸 A diplomatic mission to Namur

According to our information, a delegation from the Guinean embassy in Belgium visited Namur this week, the city where the incident occurred. They met with Mayor Charlotte Balzelaire, who is responsible for local security.

“During the discussions, the Embassy mission expressed its incomprehension and sought explanations following the tragedy that claimed the life of a Guinean national. It took note of the statement from the Namur Prosecutor's Office announcing the opening of an investigation to shed full light on this matter,” the Guinean diplomatic mission stated.

🔸 A case that is shaking the diaspora

The assassination of Adamou Condé continues to provoke outrage and anger within the African community in Belgium. Many are already calling it a "police blunder," arguing that the use of live ammunition was unjustified. Peaceful demonstrations are being planned to demand justice and the truth.

From the Guinean authorities, an official government reaction is expected in the coming days, once the full analysis of the diplomatic report is completed.

"The ministry will take a clear position after reviewing the report from our embassy," the same source indicated.

Guinea intends to defend the rights of its citizens abroad and demand that the full truth be revealed about the exact circumstances of Adamou Condé's death.
