Présidentielle au Bénin : Apparition publique du candidat Wadagni à son siège de campagne le soir du vote
Beninese men and women went to the polls yesterday, Sunday, April 12, to elect their president and vice-president. Candidate Romuald Wadagni voted at the polling station in the central district of Lokossa, a commune in the southwest of the country.
"Prégo, Prégo!"
In the evening, he made a public appearance at his campaign headquarters in Fidjrossè (a district in the 12th arrondissement of Cotonou). His supporters, visibly happy to see him, chanted: "Prego, Prego!"
The national treasurer responded by waving to them. He made no statement. Which is advisable, since the National Autonomous Electoral Commission (CENA) has not yet published the provisional election results.
According to several analysts, it's crucial not to paint the devil on the wall when it comes to Wadagni. He is the overwhelming favorite in this election, with his challenger, Paul Hounkpè, considered a mere "following" candidate.
