In Guinea, the constitutional referendum has been concluded. For the vote, the Economic Community of West African States (ECOWAS) and the African Union (AU) dispatched two missions: a technical mission and a solidarity mission. They are composed of 50 experts, deployed across the country's eight administrative regions. At the end of the debate, they took stock.

"The two Missions covered 389 polling stations on the day of the referendum across the country. The Missions noted that the process went well, the electoral staff and the OGE fulfilled their missions properly, as did the national and international observers," the missions concluded in their joint statement.

They urge the international community to continue its support for the efforts of the Transitional authorities and the Guinean people. This is to consolidate peace, security, stability and "to complete the transition through the organization of free, inclusive and transparent elections that will mark the country's return to constitutional order."
