Tanzanie : La présidente Samia Suluhu adopte un nouveau-né abandonné peu après sa naissance
In Tanzania, President Samia Suluhu Hassan adopted a baby girl named Grace. The newborn had been abandoned by her mother shortly after her birth last January in the Nzega district, Tabora region (northwest of the country).
According to local authorities, community leaders and child protection services have tried unsuccessfully to find the child's mother or a family member who could take her in. During a visit to the region a few days ago, President Suluhu learned of the child's story and decided to adopt her.
The infant was officially handed over to the Tanzanian leader during a ceremony at the Presidential Palace.
They deserve love, attention, and fulfillment.
In her address, Samia Suluhu Hassan promised regional officials and representatives of the Nzega community that she would provide the baby with proper care, necessary protection, and every opportunity for success in life. She also emphasized the importance of child protection.
For the leader, it is imperative to ensure that they grow up in a safe and caring environment, because each of them deserves love, attention and fulfillment regardless of the circumstances in which they were born.
The president also urged communities to strengthen child protection and abandonment prevention systems. She encouraged parents in difficulty to seek help from local authorities and social services instead of abandoning their children.
