Tchad : Le Parlement propose de rallonger le mandat présidentiel
In Chad, the National Assembly adopted the report of the special commission tasked with revising the Constitution yesterday, Monday, September 15, 2025. The text proposes extending the term of office of the President of the Republic from five to seven years, renewable.
He also suggests creating a Deputy Prime Minister position and extending the term of office for MPs from five to six years.

The other amendments relate to the financing of political parties' electoral campaigns by the State and the change of name of the institution "Mediator of the Republic" to "Médiature de la République".

It should be noted that the ruling party has every chance of pushing through this constitutional revision project, since it holds a majority in Parliament. The opposition, which boycotted the debates yesterday, will once again have to submit to the law of numbers.

Quand un pouvoir et des élus qui ont la majorité à l'assemblée nationale veulent changer un truc, ils le font. Sauf chez nous au Sénégal où la #LoiAmnistie, les #FondsPolitiques, l'argent de la #CaisseNoire #LoiHomosexuels profitent aux élus qui les critiquaient quand ils étaient encore opposants.
Juste pour critiquer tu fais une declaration qui a en elle meme un paradoxe. Donc, au Senegal quand des elus et un pouvoir qui a la majorite veutlent changer qq chose, ils ne le font pas? Demal teudi nelaw. Ces gens ont ete elus par la majorite des senegalais et ils seront evalues le moment venu. Jusqu'a cette date ils seront la, malgre votre peine.
