In Benin, the attempted coup is far from over. On Friday, February 27th, the Republican Police issued a wanted notice for the mastermind of the operation, Lieutenant-Colonel Pascal Tigri, and eight other individuals. These individuals are: Sambieni Castro, Sanhouekoua Bernard, Samary Ousmane, Setondji Laurier, Issa Soumanou, Osseni Yacoubou Moudachirou, Dassoudo Démanmon, and Moussa Noma Rafiou.

The police are urging anyone with useful information that could help locate them to contact them immediately, in exchange for a "reward".

As a reminder, the attempted coup took place on Sunday, December 7, 2025 in Cotonou. Mutineers, after taking control of the national radio and television stations, went to the president's residence to seize him.
