Union africaine-UNESCO : vers un renforcement de la coopération culturelle et éducative
The Chairperson of the African Union Commission, Mahmoud Ali Youssouf, met in Paris with the Director-General of UNESCO, Khaled El-Enany, to strengthen cooperation between the two institutions.
The discussions focused on the complementary nature of their mandates, particularly in the areas of culture, education, and knowledge management. The two officials also explored ways to strengthen the existing partnership, within the framework of the memorandum of understanding.
They reaffirmed their shared commitment to inclusive development, the preservation of African cultural heritage, and equitable access to knowledge on the continent.
