Un Collège au nom de Sonko : La folie de Pastef démarre là où s’arrête celle de l’APR
The Collège d'Enseignement Moyenne (CEM) in Unit 4 of Keur Massar Sud is now named after Ousmane Sonko. The decision was made by the mayor of Keur Massar, Bilal Diatta, who, according to Le Soleil, said he wanted to honor figures at the national and local levels. In truth, this gesture is proof that when it comes to madness and adulation, Pastef starts where the APR ends. This unfortunate decision to name public buildings after figures in power was criticized not long ago, at the end of Macky Sall's term.
Streets and public squares in Saint-Louis and the Dakar Plateau have been named after Macky Sall. The Fatick Regional Hospital was even named after First Lady Marième Faye Sall, replacing the Macky Gassama who had made his mark on the town. This practice sparked outrage.
Today, Pastef, which has not even been in power for two years, is following in the footsteps of the old regime. With Macky Sall and his men, restraint was the order of the day until the end of the second term, that is, after 12 years at the head of state. With Pastef, the indecency begins barely after 12 months in power. This decision, coupled with the vehicle of the Director General of SN-Hlm and the declarations of certain leaders, is clear proof that the mustard of arrogance is beginning to tickle the nostrils of those in power.
When you want to inspire pride in the population, you choose figures who have left their mark on the locality, not personalities who have no history with the town or neighborhood. Keur Massar may be new, but there is no shortage of people, even anonymous ones, who have distinguished themselves in the area. What is certain is that Ousmane Sonko has no history with Keur Massar that justifies a school in this commune bearing his name. At a pinch, Bilal Diatta could have chosen to pay tribute to Mariama Sagna, the Pastef activist killed in her home in Keur Massar in 2018.
This remark about Sonko also applies to Imam Alioune Badara Ndao, whose name is given to the Unité 4 Primary School. It is clear that Imam Alioune Ndao was a victim of the fight against terrorism. Paying tribute to him is therefore a gesture to be welcomed, a decision against forgetting those who are victims of the power of the State and of men. But Imam Ndao has no particular connection with Keur Massar for this school to bear his name. A Cem or a high school named after him in Kaolack would have been more appropriate.
So far, the rules have been clear. Public buildings are for local figures. The El Hadji Abdoulaye Niass high school is in Kaolack, the Cheikh Oumar Foutiyou high school is in Saint-Louis, the Cheikh Ahmadou Bamba technical high school is in Diourbel, the El Hadji Malick Sy high school is in Thiès, and the Limamou Laye high school is in Dakar. In the capital, we find local political figures like Blaise Diagne and Lamine Guèye. These examples demonstrate the choice made so far in favor of local figures, a pact broken with the renaming of Faidherbe Avenue in the name of Macky Sall by the mayor of Plateau, Alioune Ndoye. Bilal Diatta has just driven the point home.
However, in the current context, the best way to pay tribute to Ousmane Sonko is to work to meet the needs of the population at the local level, first for a mayor, then nationally. The hope placed in the current regime is immense, and the expectations are numerous and urgent. Pastef would benefit from focusing its energy on what matters most. There is no point in rushing things. Pastef has a five-year mandate. It is up to him to prove that he deserves another five-year term. If this is the case, Sonko, who has already made his mark on Senegal's political history, will have enough time to inscribe his name in the pantheon of great men. A deserved tribute will then be paid to him by his successors. But for now, the people need action, concrete action, and humility, not ostentation and adulation.

Le comble, c’est que lors de forums destinés à attirer les investisseurs, il peint un tableau sombre de l’économie en évoquant le CFA, le FMI et en promouvant son fameux concept de financement endogène, très populiste.
En résumé, sa stratégie semble davantage tournée vers la critique systématique et la mobilisation politique que vers des propositions économiques concrètes.

Alors, pourquoi autoriser la tenue de ce meeting tout en interdisant la marche du 25 octobre ? Diomaye doit désormais prendre toutes ses responsabilités.

Mariama Sagna, proche du MFDC, est morte des suites d'un banal fait divers. Ousmane Sonko l'avait politisé comme le PASTEF le faisait pour tous les désirs divers (accidents, vols, pertes, fautes sanctionnées, etc...).
Face à la gronde des supporters, le Bayern Munich a finalement fait marche arrière en refusant de prendre le stagiaire comme le club l’a annoncé dans un communiqué sur les réseaux : « Lors d’un échange constructif entre le FC Bayern et Jérôme Boateng cette semaine, il a été décidé que Jérôme Boateng ne fera pas de stage d’observation au sein du club. Jérôme reste très attaché au FC Bayern et ne souhaite pas que le club subisse de préjudice en raison des discussions controversées actuelles à son sujet. »
